OFFICE STAFF
Linda is our office manager and has been organizing the Sidney Animal Hospital since 1995. She also works as a receptionist and does some occasional nursing. When not at work Linda enjoys cooking, and spending time with her family, as well as her Labradors, two
parrots and cat.
Lauren joined the reception team at Sidney Animal Hospital in 2002. She has 6 years of previous experience working with animals in the
veterinary field. Currently, she is splitting her time between receptionist and
as a technical assistant. She is really
enjoying all aspects of this career including: the animals, digital radiology,
lab work and surgery. When she is not at work, she is busy with her 2 children
Madison and Preston and her Black Lab Mercedes.
Brittany joined the Sidney Animal Hospital team in 2006 and now splits her time between the clinic and her fulltime studies
to become a Registered Nurse.
She enjoys working with the clients as well as all the animals and has gained a
lot of knowledge in the Veterinary field. Brittany enjoys spending her spare
time travelling with friends and with her Labradors.
Kelly joined our reception staff in the summer of 2008. She enjoys spending time with all the animals in the clinic, as well as her own miniature dachshund named 'Bebe', who is full of kisses as well as energy! She spends most of her spare time enjoying the outdoor's and spending time with friends.
VETERINARIANS
Nigel qualified from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993, having earned a degree in biology from the University of Victoria. He was in mixed practice in Quesnel for two years and then moved to Calgary. Nigel and Jenni were married in 1996 (a vet school romance) and for two years Nigel worked at Calgary North Veterinary Hospital, a 25 veterinarian hospital. In 1997, Nigel and Jenni moved to England with all their savings and five suitcases. Having spent the savings, Nigel began work in a small animal hospital in Gloucester, England, where he was head of the Small Animal Medicine Department. In September 2000, Nigel and Jenni returned to Victoria, with seven suitcases, 1/3 of a shipping container, two children, a parrot and four tortoises. Nigel's interests include canine reproduction and orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. His favorite part of the job, however is being paid to play with puppies.

Kim graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2004, after having completed a degree in animal biology from the
University of British Columbia. She was quick to move back to British Columbia
after graduation and began practicing as a mixed animal veterinarian in Sooke.
Kim started working at the Sidney Animal Hospital in 2007. She enjoys treating both our canine and feline patients, and is eager
to assist in the care of some of our exotic patients. At home, Kim has two cats and a lab cross, as well as a baby boy born in 2010. in her spare time she enjoys training for triathlons, hiking and windsurfing.
Dr. Jenny Tayor grew up in Nanaimo. Her academic pursuits earned her a BSc in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University, a MSc in Physiology from the University of Alberta, and finally her DVM with distinction in 1988 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She first practised near Parksville, BC before moving to Vancouver's North Shore, where she practised part-time at a variety of small animal clinics. In 2001, she returned to Vancouver Island where she worked at the local animal hospital for 6 years. She very much enjoyed working in out-of-the-way small communities. However, the wonderful staff and style of practice at Sidney Animal Hospital prompted her to become an associate in 2010. Jenny's interests include long-distance trail running and ocean paddling. She makes her home, with her children, a dog, cats and several chickens, near the village of Shawnigan Lake.
TECHNICIANS
Cathie has been the Lab Tech at the Sidney Animal Hospital since 1981. During that time she has had the honor of working with many great
Veterinarians. She enjoys all aspects of her job but her particular interests
include digital radiology, surgery, microscopic lab work with a very special
interest in reproductive cases. Cathie is the owner of Truline Kennels. She breeds and trains Golden Retrievers. She participates in Hunt
Test competitions as well as judges. Cathie also is the owner of Rainbow Ridge Ranch where she raises Black Welsh Mountain sheep. She has found lambing season
is almost as exciting as Christmas!

Graduated from the AHT program at Fairview College, Before joining our team in 2005, he did some marine mammal work at the Marine Mammal Center in San Francisco rehabilitating wild animals as well as some research on the
decline of Steller sea lions in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. Tyler is also
our Spanish translator and enjoys all aspects of his job, but radiology and
surgery are among his favorites. Outside of work he is a very active individual
who loves travel, fitness, and hiking/biking through the beautiful parks of the
island.
